So Glad you could stop by for a few moments. Listen, one of the most important subjects you can ponder is: [Eternity and where you will end up].
The Bible-God's Word-Scripture says there are only two places that a person can go - when they die. [Heaven or Hell]. And, no amount of 'good works' can earn Heaven/forgiveness.
"And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment..." Hebrews 9:27
"Truly, truly, i say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God..." John 3:3
"You must be born again." John 3:7
Which place are you going to end up at? How do you know? Based on what? Are you sure? Are you good enough to go to Heaven? Well, let's make sure today, you ready?!
Have you ever lied in your life? Stolen anything? Used God's name in vain-ever? (be honest - listen to your conscience.) If so, then God sees you as a lier...a thief...and a blasphemer.
(That's only 3 of the Commandments, there's 7 more) Ever looked at someone with sexual desire that you're not married to? (Jesus says that's adultery of the heart). Have you hated someone or called someone a bad name? (if so, Scripture says you are a murderer at heart). These are serious crimes against God.
Would you be innocent or Guilty of committing these crimes against God?
If you are honest, you know you would be guilty. The Bible warns that God, (the Just judge of all the earth) must send sinners to Hell for their sin. (That's His place of punishment). God is Holy and He says He will punish those without Christ in Hell.
"And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matt. 25:46
Does this news concern you at all?
That's not God's will, The Bible says He is also rich in mercy - He has provided a way to be forgiven: "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Jesus suffered and died on the cross, taking the punishment you and i deserve - for our sins - (this was the perfect sinless Lamb - God in the flesh), then Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death.
What must you do to receive this Amazing gift of forgiveness?
Repent, and put your trust/faith in Jesus Christ who willfully took the punishment you and I deserve.
Pastor John MacArthur, an evangelical Christian preacher and author describes repentance beautifully. It involves a whole new way of looking at life-a fundamental worldview change...authentic repentance involves all those things. It's not a trite or temporary mood shift but a powerful, penetrating, soul-shattering, life-altering, attitude-changing, wholesale U-turn. It is the fruit of God's regenerating work, which Scripture portrays as the implantation of an entirely new heart and spirit (Ezekiel 11:19-20).
Jesus said, "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me i will never cast out." John 6:37
God will faithfully forgive you and grant you eternal life in Heaven. You will be made a new creature, given a new heart, old things will fall away, all things will become new. You will be born-again.
Do you see your sin and the Savior who paid your sin debt on the Cross?
Talk/pray to God - now! Confess your sins to Him, tell Him you are sorry - ask for forgiveness-pour your heart out to God now.
Then begin to read your Bible every single day and obey what you read.
Before you pull the covers over your head tonight, repent and trust the Savior tonight!
Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph. 2:8,9
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Cor. 5:17
Ps. 51 (read it).
